Allison’s Tip: Be Gentle with Blemish & Congested Skin

If there’s one mistake I see all the time with congestion and breakouts, it’s that people go too hard.

When your skin feels oily or bumpy, the instinct is to scrub, strip and dry it out. But that actually breaks down your protective skin barrier. Once that barrier is compromised, dirt and pollutants get in more easily, irritation increases, and your skin can even produce more oil to compensate for the moisture it’s lost. It becomes a cycle.

My biggest tip? Be gentle.
